Mineral Specimans

All of our magnificent mineral specimens were naturally formed in the earth during the massive earth movements millions of years ago when the land mass of Pangaea broke apart to form the continents of Gondwanaland and eventually the continents as we know them today. All gemstones were created during volcanic activity deep below the earth's crust when superheated minerals formed gasses and eventually cooled in vacuums to create the wonders of nature we know as Amethyst, Citrine and a variety of other precious stones. The pieces we have in the gallery come from Brazil,Uruguay and Paraguay in South America. Some of the Cathedral Geodes standing as much as six feet tall would grace any museum of Natural History. Some people claim that gemstones and geodes exude different energies that can  be both healing and calming we just marvel at the majesty of nature. These beautiful specimens can brighten up any room and bring a special natural touch to the home or make a very impressive statement in any business environment.

A mineral is a naturally occurring substance formed through geological processes that has a characteristic chemical composition, a highly ordered atomic structure and specific physical properties. A rock, by comparison, is an aggregate of minerals and need not have a specific chemical composition.
