A self-taught artist, Ken Swinson has developed his art into attention grabbing designs that are truly unique. Using mixed media of acrylic paint, pastels, colored pencil and ink, with the distinct cubism style, Swinson depicts the world he sees around him.

After six years of living in Augusta, Swinson headed up the river to Maysville, where he has resides to this day. He is a member of both the Ohio River Valley Art Guild and the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen.

"We never intended the gallery to have a traditional syle, with pottery, glass and local crafts. We have always wanted the 'art' in the gallery to be something we are passionate about, but on many occasions customers come into the gallery looking for something 'local'. Ken's work qualifies in both ways, we love his work and like the Putumayo music CD's we sell in the gallery 'it makes you feel good.' Laurie and I always find ourselves smiling in front of Ken's pictures and when art is beautiful and makes you smile, what more can you ask? One last thing about Ken's work is, it is affordable! His originals range from under $100 and his museum quality matted Giclee prints start at $15. If that's too much for your budget, his note-cards are $3.
